  • “Works” means all labour, materials, and services provided by us.

  • “Agreement” refers to any formal or informal acceptance of a quotation, estimate, or booking with us.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accepting a quotation, making a booking, or engaging our services in any way, the Client confirms they have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, in addition to any other written agreement, privacy policy, or service-specific terms issued by us.

3. Description of Services

Our services include but are not limited to:

  • General enquiries and advice

  • Site surveys and quotations

  • Domestic and commercial installations

  • Fault finding and repairs

  • Preventive and reactive maintenance

  • Emergency call-outs

  • Supply of materials and components

4. Rates and Call-Out Charges

  • Labour is charged based on our current rates, provided by phone or in writing.

  • Call-out charges apply and must be agreed in advance.

    • For standard jobs: Call-out is payable prior to attendance.

    • For emergency jobs: Payment must be made within 72 hours after attendance if prior payment is not possible.

  • Time spent waiting or idle due to unavailable client-supplied materials will be charged at our hourly rate.

5. Fixed Price Quotations

  • Fixed quotes include labour and materials and are subject to VAT unless stated otherwise.

  • Site surveys, if required, will be charged at our hourly rate (deductible if the quote is accepted).

  • Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

6. Materials and Supply Policy

  • Materials supplied through us are subject to a minimum 15% handling fee to cover ordering, collection, and logistics.

  • This also covers the assumption of risk — if any item is faulty or damaged, we will replace it at no extra cost to the Client.

  • Materials typically benefit from supplier discounts, and our charge is usually negligible in effect.

  • Special or high-value materials may require full payment in advance.

7. Invoices and Payment Terms

  • A 50% deposit may be required when booking the work.

  • Full payment may be required in advance at our discretion.

  • Final balance is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, card, or cash on site.

  • Late payments may incur interest, administration fees, or delay further service.

  • All materials remain the property of [Your Company Name] until paid for in full. We reserve the right to recover unpaid goods.

8. Access and Site Safety

  • The Client is responsible for providing clear and safe access to the work area.

  • Any delays caused by restricted access, unsafe conditions, or interruptions may result in additional charges or postponement.

9. Timekeeping and Delays

  • We strive to attend at agreed times but cannot be held liable for delays caused by traffic, supplier issues, adverse weather, or other uncontrollable factors.

  • We will communicate promptly in the event of a delay and will reschedule where necessary.

10. Cancellation and Rearrangement

  • Cancellations or changes must be made by the end of the previous working day to avoid charges.

  • Where materials have been ordered or allocated, the Client may be liable for their cost.

  • We reserve the right to decline, cancel, or reschedule work at our discretion.

11. Guarantee and Warranty

  • We provide a labour guarantee for all work completed by our operatives.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply where relevant.

  • The guarantee is void if:

    • The system is altered or tampered with by third parties.

    • Payment has not been received in full.

    • Damage arises from misuse, neglect, or client interference.

  • No guarantee applies to:

    • Systems older than 10 years

    • Low-quality or previously defective installations

    • Works recommended but not undertaken

12. Photographic Documentation

  • We may take photos of works for documentation, training, or quality assurance purposes.

  • No photos will be used for marketing or publicly shared without the Client’s explicit consent.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to fulfil obligations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Acts of God

  • Power outages

  • Supply chain disruption

  • Strikes or labour disputes

  • Government-imposed restrictions

  • Flood, fire, or severe weather

In such cases, a reasonable extension of time will be granted.

14. Liability Limitation

  • Our liability is strictly limited to the value of the works undertaken.

  • We do not accept responsibility for indirect, consequential, or economic losses.

  • We are not liable for faults arising from client-supplied equipment, unapproved installations, or changes made by others.

15. Dispute Resolution

  • In case of any dispute, both parties agree to resolve matters amicably before seeking legal action.

  • If resolution is not achieved, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Legal Compliance

  • All electrical work complies with BS7671:2018 (including current amendments) and applicable regulations.

  • We are fully insured for public and employer liability.
